Hello!
First, a bit of background about me. I am a researcher working at McMaster University. Early on, in college, I considered a career either in Physics or Engineering, but exposure to few Bio-related courses in university got me excited about Molecular Biology. Like many others, Erwin Schrodinger's book 'What is life?' had a major impact on my decision to become a biologist.
My interests are in broad areas of genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology, cell biology, evolutionary biology, neurobiology, and animal behavior. I have experience of working with two well-known invertebrate animal models, the fruit fly D. melanogaster and the nematode C. elegans.
In addition to doing research work and training students, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to my discipline. See this page and this for more information.
